
Jessica Michelle Chastain was born on the 24th of March, 1977. She is an American producer, actress and model. Her films that are centered around feminist themes are her most popular. She has been awarded numerous honors which include an Academy Award as well as a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2012. Chastain started acting from a young age. In 1998 she made her professional debut on stage as Shakespeare's Juliet. She was a student at the Juilliard School and was then hired to a talent-holding contract with John Wells, a television producer. She was a frequent guest star on several TV shows, and also took on the roles in several stage productions. After debuting in a film at the age of 31 in the drama Jolene (2008), Chastain made her mark in the year 2011 with six films that included the dramas Take Shelter (2011) and The Tree of Life (2011). For her roles as an aspiring socialite and a CIA analyst, she was awarded Academy Award nominations in The Help (2011) and Zero Dark Thirty (2012). The science fiction films Interstellar (2014) & The Martian (2015) were commercially more successful than the horror film It Chapter Two (2019). Chastain was not only praised for her portrayal of strong-willed women, such as in the dramas Most Violent Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016) and Molly's Game (2017). She was also a part of the television miniseries Scenes from a Marriage (1921). After her role as Tammy Faye Bakker, she received the Academy Award for Best Actress as well as Tammy Wynette in The Eyes of Tammy Faye (21) and Tammy Wynette from The Eyes of Tammy-Faye. Chastain established Freckle Films to promote diversity in film production. She is also an investor in Angel City FC. She has a strong voice on mental issues and gender and race equality. She is married to the fashion executive Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo who she is with
