Her first role was in Love Don't COST a Dime (2003), which was a comedic film starring teenager actor. Milian was a minor character in the Jennifer Garner-starring movie Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Milian's music return was focused on promoting Us Against the World, and she filmed her music videos. After that, Milian stated that she has become a little bit more meticulous in deciding what she felt was worthy to be included on the album, and she began recording. Songs on the album comprise the Madonna-like ballad from the 90s Stay Euro club album Tug of War as well as the feel-good Diamonds song with Kanye.
