She is the child of Harvey Welker, a Native American father along with Julie Welker, an African American Mother. Her mother is a real-estate agent, while her father has a degree in engineering. Walker has graduated from Germantown Friends School situated in the city of Philadelphia's Germantown district in the year 1994. She then went on to Harvard College where she earned an Associate of Arts degree in 1998. Welker is married for over 20 years with John Hughes who is a famous marketing director at Merck Philadelphia. The couple are parents to two children. The couple began having an affair.
